Orphan
Since 2005 we have been running an orphan education and empowerment fund for orphaned children in East Africa. We pride ourselves with the ability to still continue to promote and share values that have made a significant difference in the lives of children who need the most care, attention and support. About
About
Our Vision:Lets join hands and take personal responsibility for the future of our children. You too can give a child the gift of education, food and health through our mission. We work directly with the community and can guarantee that every small contribution makes a huge difference. Our objective is to educate as many needy children as possible who hopefully 15 years from today will be upright and responsible members of society. Our Philosophy:We believe that we all have the ability to make a difference to the lives of those around us . We live in a world completely desensitized to the pain and suffering of those around us not realising that we can all be part of a global movement on a mission to share with less fortunate children the gift of education and knowledge. The formulae is simple: Educating a child = A lifetime of empowerment. WHO WE ARE:Peggoty was founded during my university years back in 2003 when i travelled back home to kenya to make what was my first film on the effects of Hiv/Aids on my village. We currently have 2 children who have graduated from high school, 4 children in high school (2 girls and 2 Boys), and 8 children in primary school. Our objectives are:1. To advance the education of orphaned children in Africa, through provision of funding.2. The relief of poverty, sickness and distress by the provision and support of community development programmes in AfricaSo far our project continues to thrive with the help of a few very dedicated friends, EuroVote Grants and the AlterEco Association in France. You too can make a difference NOW

Our EDUCATION FUND has been running consistently since september 2004. We provide tuition fees and school accessories together with monthly family grants to those who need extra support in the community. So far we have had 2 boys graduate from high school, 2 boys and 2 girls in high school and thriving, and a further 8 boys and girls in primary school. We are always looking to take on more children each year from different parts of east africa. The LUNCH PROGRAMME has been running since 2005 and is based at Ragen St. Pauls church in nyakach, western kenya. We have a caretaker who is responsible for daily meals and overall assessment of the children. They get one meal every day during school days which goes a long way to ensure that they are guaranteed one healthy meal despite their respective situations back home. For those who cant walk to the centre or whose school is further away, a monthly family grant is provided to pay for food shopping and necessities to add to the over all family budget. This has proven very helpful especially to those whose surviving parent is either incapacitated or ill. HEALTH is very important for the over all growth and development of children especially in the rural area. Sometimes however children can develop illnesses such as malaria, typhoid and TB which requires alot of medicine and care. Treatment however is very expensive and its for this reason that we have finally started a health fund to cater to those who may be in desperate need of urgent care. SUPPORT OUR CAMPAIGN
